ETH Prague

About

ETHPrague is a community-driven Ethereum conference and hackathon that brings together developers, researchers, founders, designers, and ecosystem contributors to explore the future of decentralized technologies beyond market narratives. Hosted annually in Prague, the event focuses on deep technical conversations, experimentation, and collaboration around Ethereum’s evolving infrastructure and real-world applications.

Unlike mainstream crypto conferences that often center on trading trends or token speculation, ETHPrague is designed as a builders’ gathering. The agenda typically spans protocol research, zero-knowledge systems, privacy technologies, governance models, digital public infrastructure, network economies, and next-generation decentralized applications.

Through talks, workshops, and hands-on hackathon tracks, the event creates space for participants to exchange ideas, prototype solutions, and engage with some of the most forward-looking thinkers in the Ethereum ecosystem. It is widely regarded as a high-signal environment for understanding where Ethereum innovation is heading next.

Who Should Attend?

  • Protocol and blockchain developers: Ideal for engineers working on L1s, L2s, zk systems, wallets, tooling, or interoperability.
  • Researchers and academics: Strong presence of cryptography researchers, governance theorists, and Web3 economists.
  • Founders building Web3 infrastructure: Particularly teams building privacy layers, scaling solutions, identity frameworks, or public-goods tooling.
  • Product managers in crypto infrastructure: Great exposure to emerging technical narratives shaping Ethereum’s roadmap.
  • DAO contributors and governance designers: Sessions often explore coordination, decentralization, and institutional design.
  • Designers exploring crypto-native UX: Especially those working on wallets, identity layers, and on-chain interaction models.
  • Serious ecosystem investors: More aligned with thesis-driven capital than short-term trading strategies.

Who Should Avoid?

  • Short-term traders or speculation-focused participants: The conference intentionally avoids hype-driven narratives.
  • Beginners looking for introductory crypto education: Content is often technical and assumes familiarity with Ethereum concepts.
  • Marketing-led Web3 teams seeking visibility rather than collaboration: ETHPrague is builder-centric, not promotion-centric.
  • NFT-trend or memecoin-focused communities: The agenda prioritizes infrastructure and depth of research.
  • Corporate attendees exploring blockchain only at a surface level: Sessions lean toward experimentation and protocol-level thinking.
